1: Right mouse click on your speaker icon by your clock and choose "Recording Devices" 2: On the new window that appears look for "Stereo Mix", "Stereo Out" or "What U Hear", right click on one of them and choose "Set As Default Device" If you didn't see "Stereo Mix", "Stereo Out" or "What U Hear", try right clicking in that window and choose "Show Disconnected Devices" and "Show Disabled Devices", then try step 2 again. 3: Select "Stereo Mix", "Stereo Out" or "What U Hear" then click on Properties
4: On the new window that appears, click on the "Levels" tab and put your volume slider somewhere between 30 to 50% (it all depends on how loud the music was recorded, so ask in the lobby if it sounds ok and adjust accordingly) and click on OK.
• If you heard the music clearly and there was recording of you talking, coughing, etc. You have set up your audio properly to play music from your soundcard... • If you heard nothing at all. Try repeating this tutorial again. • If you heard yourself talking, coughing, etc the audio is still coming through your microphone and you'll need to repeat the tutorial again. If you want to go back to using your Mic as the default output, simply follow the instructions again so that Mic is the Default Device instead of "Stereo Mix", "What U Hear" or "Stereo Out". If you have any problems doing this, please contact your Soundcard manufacturer for assistance. |
