The information below will show you how to set up Trend Internet Security (version) 11 to work with iCU2 so that your Pal List works and so that you can receive call / connect requests

1: Open Trend Internet Security so that you see a window similar to the one below
TrendMicro
Once the window is open, click on Firewall, then click on Firewall Profiles

2: You will then see a window similar to the one below.
Trend Micro
If the Current Profile states “Direct Connection”, click on Direct Connection so that it is highlighted then click on the Edit button.

(If the the Current Profile states something else, select the relevant one from the list, then click on the Edit button)

3: You will then see a window similar to the one below
TrendMicro
At the top of that window, click on the tab that says Exception List and then click on the Add button

4: Another window will appear, that looks like this
Trend Micro
Fill in the white areas with the information as seen above

ie:

Rule Name: iCU2
Port Direction: Incoming and Outgoing selected
Protocol: TCP/UDP
Action: Allow Internet Traffic
Types: All IP addresses
Specified Ports: 2000-2001

After entering all of the information, click on OK

(The Specified Ports listed here are the default ports that iCU2 uses. If you find that after finishing the tutorial you still cannot receive call / connect requests, go into Tools – Options – Ports on iCU2 and check what it says for Primary and Secondary Ports, if it says something other than 2000 and 2001, change the Specified Ports in Trend Internet Security to match what iCU2 had)

5: You will then return back to the previous window but should have a new addition to the list at the bottom, as seen below:
TrendMicro
If the information appears to be correct, click on OK

6: You will then see a window like the one below:
Trend Micro
Click on Apply and then try iCU2 to see if you can get calls / connects.

If you cannot get calls or connects, please read the information at Step 4 in this tutorial to verify that you are using the correct Specified Ports
