Programs that need special settings with iCU2

If you are running any of the following programs you may encounter issues while using iCU2:

  • M@ilDefense
  • PopUpKiller
  • PopUpStopper
  • Webhancer
  • One Panel.com
  • PC Data
  • ZoneAlarm
  • Netsonic
  • Opt Out
  • Surfingard
  • Filo by I Drive
  • Freedrive
  • BlackIce
  • Trend PC-Cilln
  • Trend Internet Security
  • Nukenabber
  • Intruder Alert
  • Internet Sharing from Windows 98 SR2, Windows ME and Windows XP
  • 411 directories from NetMeeting
  • FastLane for Earthlink.net
  • Winboost or any of the various anti-nuke programs
  • Arcsoft Photo Impression 3.0, photo editing software – Must be removed for iCU2 to function properly
  • Peer Guardian
  • Norton System Works
  • Norton AntiVirus 2004 and later versions

These must be configured properly, disabled or turned off before you use iCU2.

Users of other programs must contact Tech Support for that program to find out how to make the port setting changes needed.

Users of M@ilDefense, Webhancer, One Panel.com, Peer Guardian or PC Data must remove these programs to be able to use iCU2 Video Chat

Also note that some anti-trojan programs (Norton software in particular) have an auto-block feature that is activated by repeated attempts to access your computer. These can be triggered if a person has called or sent Quick Messages multiple times on the iCU2 program and is not there to accept the calls.

If you are running a firewall program or using a router, the following information is provided to assist you in resolving issues:

iCU2 version 7.x

By default, You must open UDP port 2002 and TCP ports with the range of 2000-2001 Bi-directional.

Destination ports are 23562-23566 (for access to the iCU2 Servers)

Users of other Firewall or Proxy programs must contact tech support for their particular programs for assistance.

Users of DSL or ADSL must contact their Internet Service Providers for assistance in opening these ports.

Users of other routers or hubs must contact tech support for their hardware.
