Fetching Directory – AOL Users

If you are an AOL user with the AOL Safety and Security software installed, and your iCU2 directory is continually in a “fetching” state. Please read below:
AOL Safety and Security
- Sign into Safety and Security
- Click on Firewalls in the left hand column
- Click on Program Permissions. Programs will populate in the top box
- Locate the iCU2 entry in the top box
- Click on the arrow, a box will appear saying: Allow, Outbound and Block. Choose Allow
- Then close out of the screen and see if you can access the iCU2 directories.
If you previously had AOL Safety and Security installed, then uninstalled or disabled it. You may need to reinstall it again, then follow the instructions above so that iCU2 can regain access to the internet. This is a flaw with the AOL Safety and Security software, NOT with the iCU2 program.
Please note that there are many possible causes for “fetching” of the directory.
