BT Voyager 2100 Router and iCU2

The information below will assist you in setting one or more computer on iCU2 with a BT Voyager Router (this is for the BT Voyager 2100 Router , but should work on all BT Voyager Routers).

*Always make sure you have the latest firmware installed on your Router before proceeding (unless otherwise stated). Check your Router manufacturer’s Support Area on their website to obtain the newest firmware.
If you have only 1 computer to setup, or if this is the first computer you are setting up for iCU2:

On iCU2:
1: Go into Tools – Options – Ports
2: Make sure you are set to “Network” connection
3: In Normal Ports and Network Ports areas make sure you have:

Primary Port: TCP 2000
Secondary Port: TCP 2001

ie:

4: Also, take note of your IP Address (you will need it later). It most likely will not be the same as the one above. You have to take note of the IP address you see in your iCU2 window.
5:Click on OK and close iCU2

On the Router:
1: Log into the Router’s Admin Area (on internet explorer type in 192.168.1.1 and hit enter or go)
2: Type in your username/password (if prompted) for the Router. By default this Router’s login information is:

Username:
Password:

3: On the left side of the screen, click on Advanced then click on Configuration then click on Virtual Server
4: Click on the button that says Add
5: In Add New Port Forwarding Rule, select User Defined and type iCU2-1 into the box.
6: Where it says Forward to Internal Host IP Address, enter the IP address you took note of for your 1st computer
7: Under By using these rules: enter this data:

5: Click on Apply
6: Try iCU2

If you want to add a second computer / iCU2 to your home network, make sure you have setup the first computer as detailed above, then do this to add the second computer:

On the second computer’s iCU2:
1: Go into Tools – Options – Ports
2: Make sure you are set to “Network” connection
3: In Normal Ports and Network Ports areas make sure you have:

Primary Port: TCP 2002
Secondary Port: TCP 2003

ie:

4: Also, take note of your IP Address.(you will need it later). It most likely will not be the same as the one above. You have to take note of the IP address you see in your iCU2 window.
5:Click on OK and close iCU2

On the Router:

6: Where it says Forward to Internal Host IP Address, enter the IP address you took note of for your 2nd computer
7: Under By using these rules: enter this data:

5: Click on Apply
6: Try iCU2

If you want to add more computers / iCU2s to your home network, it is simply a case of following the steps again for the second computer and changing the settings so that each computer/iCU2 has it’s own unique values. Ie, computer 3 would have:

Primary Port: TCP 2004
Secondary Port: TCP 2005

being forwarded to the local IP address of that computer.
