If after installing iCU2 8.0.5 you are hearing “Administrative Message” every time you start iCU2, and it becomes annoying. You can disable it by either of the options below:

Option 1:
98/Me/2000/XP Users:

1: Right mouse click on your iCU2 desktop icon
2: Choose “Properties” from the menu that appears
3: Select the button called “Find Target” on the new window that pops up
You should now be in your iCU2I folder
4: Open the file called icuii.ini (it may only say icuii but is easy to locate as the icon is a notepad with a gold wheel/cog on it)
5: Directly under the [General] section add this line of text:
NoNagAdmin=1

6: Close the icuii.ini file and save.
Start iCU2 and you’ll only get the message of the day, if the message changes.

Option 1:
VISTA USERS:

1: Right mouse click on your iCU2  desktop icon
2: Choose “Open File Location ” from the menu that appears. You should now be in your iCU2 folder
3: Locate and delete the file called icuii.ini (it may only say icuii but is easy to locate as the icon is a notepad with a gold wheel/cog on it)
4: At the top of the iCU2 folder, click on “compatibility files” button
5: Directly under the [General] section add this line of text:
NoNagAdmin=1

6: Close the icuii.ini file and save.
Start iCU2 and you’ll only get the message of the day, if the message changes.

Option 2:
1: On iCU2, go to Settings | Configure Sounds
2: Select “Administrative Message”
3: Click on “No Sound”
4: Click on “OK”

Doing this will also disable the admin messages that will pop up from time to time, so if you use Option 2, make sure you keep an eye out for specific Admin Messages.
